On behalf of the Brothers of the Petersburg (VA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. it is a pleasure for me to extend a cordial welcome to our website.

Our chapter was founded on April 18, 1941, by eight Kappa men who came together to promote the goals and objectives of the fraternity in the Petersburg area. Since that time, the chapter has continued to flourish and has continuously supported the Petersburg community, Virginia State University and the Tri-City Area (Chesterfield, Dinwiddie and Prince George) by creating opportunities and providing programs that makes a difference in the community.

The Petersburg Alumni Chapter has been integral in fostering service to the community. Some of our initiatives have included:

  •     Distributing gifts and singing carols to nursing home residents  at Christmas
  •     A  comprehensive Kappa Guide Right program which has enriched the athletic and academic potential of our youth
  •     Awarding of scholarships to aspiring college students at Petersburg, Matoaca, and Nottoway High School and Virginia State University
  •     An annual golf tournament for our scholarship mission
  •     Kappa highway clean up and beautification of the  Ettrick, Chesterfield County area surrounding Virginia State University

The purpose of our website is to be an informative resource in giving visitors a small snapshot about the Petersburg (VA) Alumni Chapter. Reflecting our long-standing commitment to Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor, we welcome your feedback as we continue to improve this site.
